The surroundings of the spa city Teplice nad Bečvou offer many interesting sights.

The Zbrašov Aragonite Caves

The warmest cave in the Czech Republic with a constant temperature of about 14°C. Right in the spa premises, there is a unique cave system of European significance resulting from the simultaneous action of atmospheric and warm mineral waters. A unique decoration of the caves is the mineral aragonite that resembles donuts.

Hranická propast (Hranice Abyss)

The second deepest abyss in the world and the deepest in the Czech Republic. Its dry part, allowing easy viewing, has a depth of 69.5 metres; the latest measurement in the flooded part from 2012 confirmed a further depth of 373 m, although the bottom has not yet been reached.

Valšovická Lakes

Located near Valšovice village. They are a cascade-like system of small water reservoirs on the Krkavec river.

Rožnov pod Radhoštěm

The Wallachian Museum of Folk Architecture and Crafts, or the open air museum, consists of the Wooden Town, the Wallachian Village, and the Mill Valley. We can see the work of millers, sawyers, fullers, and iron-millers in action.

The Helfštýn Castle

The castle is located in the middle of wooded hills overlooking the picturesque Bečva river valley. It offers entertainment, education and recreation. The large castle grounds are a great place for various events such as historical fencing, theatrical, musical and dance performances. Every year since 1982, blacksmith artisans from around the world meet here at the end of August, at a symposium called the Hefaiston, and demonstrate their work.

UNESCO Monument - Olomouc - 46 km

The county town of Olomouc can be proud of its rich historic centre. The Holy Trinity Column has been listed on the Unesco List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites since 2000. It is the dominant feature of the town centre, the impressiveness of which can easily take its visitors‘ breath away. It is the largest group of Baroque statues in one sculpture in central Europe. The column is 32 metres high, and its lower part houses a chapel that is open on a seasonal basis.

The Holy Hill and the ZOO near Olomouc

Northeast of the city of Olomouc is another pilgrimage place called the Holy Hill. This enclosed pilgrimage site includes the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, residential and utility buildings, and cloisters with chapels, all built entirely in the Baroque style. Besides the beautiful church you can also visit a very nice zoo.

UNESCO Monument - Kroměříž - 52 km

The city of historical monuments, schools, arts and culture is called the „Athens of Haná“. It is especially sought by visitors for its numerous monuments. Kroměříž was declared the most beautiful historic town in the Czech Republic in 1997. The complex of historic gardens and the Archbishop‘s palace were included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in December 1998. The city hosts annual music festivals, exhibitions, scientific conferences, symposia and congresses.

Svatý Hostýn Pilgrimage Site

One of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the Czech Republic is the Hostýnská mountain (735 m above the sea level) ) with its shrine to the Virgin Mary. Thousands of pilgrims seek refuge here and assistance with the sorrows and demands of life.

Kopřivnice Technical Museum

In the city of Kopřivnice you will find the Tatra Technical Museum, which houses a large collection of Tatra passenger and truck vehicles, and other products produced by Tatra.

Štramberk

This mountain town in the centre of the Štramberská highlands, at the foothills of the Beskydy Mountain is called the "Moravian Bethlehem" for its picturesque scenery. The town is dominated by the ruins of the Strallenberg castle and it's Trúba tower. You will fine here a unique collection of folk architecture represented by Wallachian timbered houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Traditional and legendary sweets called "štramberské ears" are very popular here.

Sport

Teplice nad Bečvou is not only a city for relaxing spa treatments and slow afternoon walks. It also offers wide variety of sports and leisure activities. Everyone can choose from a wide range of sports activities including tennis, mini golf, a gym, a sauna, swimming, snooker, table tennis and biking. You can rent bikes and Nordic walking sticks if you like.
